Good start this morning on what we thought was Lakeside Trail, but about 2 miles into the trail we encountered an unusual amount of thorns, mud, rocks, and very little trail.
There were amazing spider webs everywhere, and it seemed wrong to walk through what obviously took a long time for the spider to build. The webs were fascinating and complex.
About three and one half miles into the hike we realized that at some point we made a wrong turn, since the trail we were on had been closed. Our grandson's GPS skills got us back to Lakeside Trail.
