CONQUERING THE RAPIDS

A special group of men got together at Messiah College on this beautiful day and bravely conquered the Yellow Breeches rapids. These four friends have been meeting weekly for more than twenty-one years. 

The scenery and fellowship on this day was so perfect it took our breath away. However, about one mile downstream, a couple of guys had the angry rapids turn over their kayak, but they pressed ahead to calmer waters. Turns out we won the day - and the Yellow Breeches didn't.

We were also blessed to have some other special guests join us - and everyone enjoyed a cookout at my brother's property, adjacent to the Yellow Breeches. Thanks to Don and Deb for their (always) incredible hospitality.

This guy is affectionately called Stevie Wonder. 

God's creation includes the stream, trees and the peculiar guy in the kayak below. 

We call this guy "X-Ray Man". 

It is a blessing to say without reservation that our pastor is real. We trust him.

We call him friend. 

My brother and 95 year old mom put up with our nutty group. Here our pastor is agreeing with them that it was a really special day, pregnant with memories.
