Lacrosse may have been developed as early as 1100 AD among indigenous peoples, and by the seventeenth century, it was well-established. In the traditional version, each team consisted of about 100 to 1,000 men on a field that stretched from about 1,600 ft. to 1.9 mi long. The games lasted from sunup to sundown for two to three days straight. The game has undergone many modifications since that time, as we witnessed today at Central Stadium.
Today our grandson Tate waits for the face off, which starts the game, and immediately he attacks the opponent to gain control of the ball.
Fun to watch the tradition continue.
