PRETTY AND SMART

Our granddaughter M&M dreaming about tricky riddles

What occurs once in a minute, twice in a moment and never in one thousand years? The answer to this riddle is the first or the last letter of my nickname for our pretty and smart granddaughter.

She asked me to answer some other riddles today, but I didn't do so well. Think you can answer them? I've listed the riddles and answers below.

Q1: In a one-story pink house, there was a pink person, a pink cat, a pink fish, a pink computer, a pink chair, a pink table, a pink telephone, a pink shower– everything was pink! What color were the stairs?

Q2: What is the longest word in the dictionary?

Q3: What word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it?

Q4: What is as light as a feather, but even the world’s strongest man couldn't hold it for more than a minute?

Q5: Which weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks?

Q6: Two dads and two sons were eating breakfast together.  They each had an egg, but together they only ate three eggs.  How can this be?

Q7: You are a bus driver.  The first stop you pick up 13 kids then 7 kids get off. The second stop, you pick up 31 kids, then drop off 5.  The last stop, you pick up 12 kids, and 2 kids get off.  How old is the bus driver?

Here are the answers....
A1: There weren't any stairs, it was a one story house!
A2: Smiles, because there is a mile between each ‘s’
A3: Short
A4: His breath!
A5: Neither, they both weigh one pound!
A6: A grandfather, a father, and a son!
A7:  Whatever YOUR age is!
