SUMMER IN FEBRUARY

Stopped by the lake and took this picture today. Kind of drab and not much wildlife. Turtles were on the rock where I normally find the Blue Heron. It's been a long time since it was 75 degrees in February.

So, it's time to get my fishing stuff together for 2017. But as in the past, catching fish is not required. Any fish that I catch will soon be forgotten, but the quiet and peaceful lake, the trees and warm breeze, snakes, turtles, herons and other wildlife - will long be remembered.

Some time ago, Henry David Thoreau said, "Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing it is not fish they are after."

Thank you God, for your incredible creation.
