TIME FOR MY YEARLY BLUE CHECK

Pictures at the Gifford Pinchot Park lake

April 2015 - Was just about ready to give up my search this morning when a guy and his wife in kayaks told me they saw the blue heron. I pointed the boat back out onto the foggy lake and took more pictures of cool rock formations, but no blue.

The local goose family suggested I check down closer to the dam area, where blue has been seen previous years. 

Nearby the dam I asked a guy in a kayak, and he said I was getting closer, but I should check on the other side of the lake. 

I crossed to the other side, and......

Blue is back! He fanned his feathers as he has done the last 3 years. 

And then he did the familiar, "catch me if you can" move ....
