Took these images at Gifford Pinchot Lake

As the days become shorter and tree leaves get less sunshine, their color changes. Although the yellows and oranges are underneath the green all the time, it's not until September they begin to show.

Autumn is also peak season for bird migration, so I guess the Pinchot Lake Blue Heron will be packing his bags soon and heading south.
