DEATH OVER VOTING?

This bird was watching the ball game at Camden Yards today.
A Virginia woman’s obituary says she chose death over voting in the upcoming presidential election. The obituary published by the Richmond Times-Dispatch and on a funeral home's website reads, “Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God.”
Her husband, Jim Noland, told a local news station that she died at 68 on Sunday following a long battle with lung cancer. He says one of her sons wrote the obituary's opening line as a joke and as a way for her children to carry on her sense of humor.

I guess the obit was kinda' funny, but the daily blast of bad news from the media is no joke....and and can really wear a person down. In fact, last month I read, "Suicide in the United States has surged to the highest levels in nearly 30 years, a federal data analysis has found, with increases in every age group except older adults.
When I saw this bird today I thought of the scripture that tells us not to worry. It reminded me that no matter how crazy the world gets, God is in control of the future.
