WEEKLY ROUTINE

SOME GRAPHICS FOR THIS WEEK'S SERMON
I have a number of reoccurring activities that I do each week, one of which is to create sermon notes for our church. And I've decided to add one more routine to my week.

Over the years I've stumbled onto some ideas that are helpful when creating power point presentations, so I plan to share one of these ideas on Wednesday of each week. Hopefully, this may help someone as they prepare a power point presentation for their church or business.

IDEA #1
If you copy a power point thumbnail and past it into your word doc (in my case the the sermon transcript), it will automatically number each slide and allow for caption instructions. The end product is a helpful guide for the computer operator, who is controlling the slides while another person is making the presentation.

EXAMPLE OF THIS IS SHOWN BELOW
A picture of the power point thumbnail is copied and pasted onto the word doc. Right click on the slide and it will allow you to reduce the image size (I reduce it to 3.5"). If you right click again, you can choose "add a caption" and it will automatically assign a slide # and a place for instructions. If a slide is added later it will automatically re-number every other slide.

This may make no sense to someone that doesn't use a script or transcript with power point presentations, but it is a great tool for the computer operator that is controlling the slides to keep in sync with the person presenting the slides.
