WEDDING WEATHER

I was reading that "Every couple should get married in the rain". Strange comment, but as it turns out - rain on a wedding day supposedly signifies that the marriage will last. Why?
  • A knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel.
  • Rain on your wedding day symbolizes the washing away of bad memories or occurrences and, in effect, gives you a completely new, fresh chapter in your life.
  • You know that refreshing scent after the rain, just when the sun starts peaking back through the clouds? That “new day” feeling is one more reason to get married in the rain.
Interesting! (I guess). Next month my wife and I will be married 46 years. The ceremony took place inside a church at 806 West Princess Street in York, PA, where it was bone dry.
