Down through many generations camels have shown their affection, especially to Americans, by putting their chins on top of their heads. My brother and sister-in-law said they recently enjoyed this experience while in Israel. However, when my wife and I were there in 1985, our memories were of drooling camels.....in fact, we went out of our way to avoid their affection.
Anyway, this camel seemed to be impressed with our 94 year old Mom, maybe since she is about twice the age of an average camel's lifespan.
Camels are actually fellow Americans, once freely wandering the North American plains - long before humans arrived. Records show that camels came exclusively from America, but over generations migrated through Alaska to deserts worldwide.
