When I arrived, Blue was waiting for me on a rock nearby the boat launch. As soon as I got out of the truck, he flew a few feet and landed - so I could take his picture.
He then flew a few more feet....
And landed....
And then flew again....
And landed again....
Finally, he took off and escaped to a high tree behind the canoe storage.
Quick visit, but good to see him before his trip south.
