I rarely mention anything political on this blog, but my friend Jeff sent me this information and I was caught off guard, especially at the ending.
"The recent increase of insects suggests that we put up more bat houses, since bats consume 3,000 or more mosquitoes and other insects nightly. Bats are less likely to be rabid than dogs, and are also responsible for seed dispersal that is essential to the regeneration of our forests. Bats are astonishing creatures, as shown in these three pictures.....

So, 2 out of 3 Bats have a useful purpose! Now if we could just train him to eat mosquitoes. (I didn't say this....it was Jeff)
