CHOICES

SISTERS BY BLOOD, FRIENDS BY CHOICE
Because of a medical emergency, we have been watching seven (of our twelve) grandkids this week, while their parents are out of town.

My wife and I are constantly amazed at the special relationship these kids have with each other. A couple of days ago, I was reminded that the direction of our lives will come down to individual choices we have made. And during a recent sermon, our pastor spoke about the importance of loving the person in front of us, even when it is difficult....and that this requires an intentional act, a choice, separate from how we feel.

Even at their young age, these kids have learned this lesson. We've observed that when they bug each other, with God's help, they are quick to forgive and then choose to remain close friends.
