This picture, taken by my brother and sister-in-law, captures the essence of our 93 year old Mom, who is very content reading a good book while enjoying God's creation.
She is spending this special day in a cabin in the middle of the mountains, and from the deck, it looks like the mountains fade right into the sky. In one of his books, my favorite author Philip Yancey says, "I want to meet the Artist responsible for beauty such as this".
Mrs. Ritchey, It is nice to see you and to know that you're enjoying a relaing 4th of July. We are in Ioa visiting Fayhe's familly for the holiday. In mid August we will be flying to Beijing for a one year teaching assignment at Harbin Normal University, in northeast China.
