GETTING DIRECTIONS BEFORE GPS

...a TRAIL TREE intentionally shaped by Native Americans

One unique characteristic of a trail marker tree is a horizontal bend which makes it visible at great distances, even in snow. These uniquely shaped trees are found in key locations to give direction to those not familiar with the area.
I took this picture at the back of my sister-in-law's property near Red Lion today, after she said her husband researched and determined that the tree was shaped by Native Americans.
