FAHRENHEIT 451

"Kindle Sales Have Disappeared", says UK's largest book retailer. I saw this headline today in the Telegraph and they report that (as of January 2015) the sales of physical books rose five percent, while Kindle sales collapsed.

I am a daily user of a Kindle to view movies, but have gravitated back to paper books for reading. Not sure what the current stats of Kindle decline are in this country, but we may have contributed to this potential trend during birthday celebrations for our son and his wife yesterday.

The birthday gifts for our son increased his collection of already more than 3,000 paper books. His books are currently in storage until they land in, what I'm sure will be an impressive library.

Books are currently in large boxes organized by category

Maybe his library will end up looking something like this ....

Baldwin's Book Barn, West Chester, PA

My suggestion is for him to convert one of the outbuildings on his property into a Book Nook. I suggest this one, since it already reeks of history and character.

Shot this outbuilding in August of 2014

Yesterday I learned that our son's all time favorite book is Fahrenheit 451. Ironic, since it describes a time when all books are outlawed and burned.
