SWEET SHOW

Our daughter and son-in-law got us tickets for ELF "The Musical" at Hershey Theater one year ago today. It was a fun show and musical - all in a beautiful venue.

It is a Christmas tradition for us to watch the movie ELF (some years more than once) and we weren't sure what to expect in a musical version of the same story.

For instance, we thought they would use some sort of effect, maybe short actors or children to play the elves. Instead, the actors were full-grown adults playing the roles, but they were walking on their knees any time the musical shows a scene from the North Pole. It looked like it hurt but their elf shoes were actually knee pads, and to preserve the illusion, they were wearing stockings that blended in with the stage floor.

It was amazing how polished the songs and arrangements were, particularly the larger than life opening act. Hershey theater is a classy place. Sound, Lighting, Stage Sets and Songs - all impressive.

Thanks for a fun day Melody and Cory. Merry Christmas!
