MELODY GOT MARRIED - repost from 2 years ago yesterday

It was a special day today at the Hershey Gardens gazebo, nearby the large fountain. Even the thunderstorms must have known, since they waited to arrive until after the ceremony was over, just in time to wash away the rose petals from the brick walkways.

Our kid got married.  The special kid I used to take exploring; the one I love more than frogs love flies or pigs love pies. 

Her older sister was a sophomore in college and her brother a freshman in High School when we announced Melody was going to be born.  When my brother was told that my wife was expecting, his knees buckled and had he not held onto the car door, he would have landed on the street. 

Guess the projects that I got good grades on - I mean - she got good grades on are over.  Guess the stop signs nearby tennis courts will be safer - since she has learned to become a skilled driver.  

We have learned to love and respect Melody's new husband.  We sincerely believe God transplanted him from the Chicago area - just for our daughter. Cory graduated from University of Illinois and is a marketing researcher.  He has made Melody and her parents very happy.  

We look forward to their future, since God has an exciting plan for their lives together.  And we have truly gained a terrific son.  Professional pictures are coming but here are a couple that I took after the ceremony in Hershey, PA today. (click on pictures to enlarge)
