AMERICA'S PASTIME

There is a 63-acre island in the middle of the Susquehanna River nearby Pennsylvania's state capital, Harrisburg.
.
It's an interesting place where you can take a cruise on a river boat called "The Pride of the Susquehanna" or catch a ride on a steam train or horse drawn carriage.  If that's not your cup of tea, how about a baseball game at Metro Bank Park stadium?

Not sure who's in charge of picking names, but Sea Dogs, Rock Cats, Thunder, Squirrels, Rubber Ducks and Sea Wolves are all names of our local minor league baseball teams.  We plan to see the Harrisburg "Senators" play tonight. Although one of their players is on a tear with an average of .600, the overall team standing is next to the bottom.

But tonight will be interesting.  How hard will it be for the Senators to beat a team from New Hampshire called the "Fisher Cats"?

Thanks for the invite Don and Deb!

(Sunday morning update.....Senators won 3-0 - Great fun, food, family, fireworks)
